In 1872, the YT was introduced in United States of America and was subsequently registered in many kennel clubs of America during the year 1878.

The puppies of YT are prone for the development of hypoglycemia especially in age group of about five to ten weeks.

This is due to the lack of adequate muscle mass in them and however, once grows up, the incidences of hypoglycemia get reduced to a greater extent.

Long and brisk walk will help to have a healthy status. The training if given is to be provided from younger age itself. A well trained YT will often behave like a well mannered one.
