Raising the puppies

Raising a cute puppy in a proper manner is actually an art that needs general baseline information on puppies especially their biology, health features and common disease conditions of puppies. Raising the puppies should associate interactions with other dog owners who raised puppies earlier and consult a pet care specialist.

Puppy
Puppy raised in right ways should have free movements in the house and there should not be any abnormal postures. Puppies wag their tail when they see the owner and they may make sounds in low pitch when they are hungry. Puppy should defecate daily and pass urine freely. Avoid unnecessary lifting of puppy during raising of puppies.

Puppy dog
A puppy-dog is highly liked by many persons and hence, one needs to take utmost care in raising of puppy-dog. Since puppy often swallows small materials, you should take utmost care to remove the tiny materials in the floor.

If puppy extends head often and does not bark, then immediately take it to the veterinarian to rule out any obstruction in esophagus. During raising the puppies, if you observe undue crying, then consider the stomach pain.

Cute puppy
A cute puppy will have increase in weight gain over periods. The puppy should not have a potbelly. If dullness is observed with lethargic movements in the previously cute puppy, take it to a veterinarian to rule out any disease. Raising the puppies involve observation of expressions of puppies. Cute puppy will always express alertness and should have proper appetite and drinks water freely.

Importance of Puppy food
Puppy food should be first palatable to the puppy and needs to be highly preferred and should have nutritive value also. Raising the puppies need enrichment of food with adequate carbohydrates, protein, fat, minerals and vitamins.

Puppies need provision of 4 to 5 meals per day but subsequent to the weaning, 3 to 4 meals may be given. Bitch’s milk is the best food for puppies and at least, access of puppy to bitch’s milk should be there at least up to early stages of weaning.

After the weaning, slowly provide and accustom the puppies to minced and chopped moist food. If any diarrhea occurs, reduce the feeds and take it to a veterinarian for treatment.

Puppy bed
Raising the puppies need information on puppy bed also. The puppy bed should be made up of materials that are non-edible and non-toxic also. Puppy bedding material should be of easily available one. The bed may comprise a cushion but should have a washable one because puppies may often soil the cushion by their excreta and urine. Raising the puppies need removal of foreign materials from the puppy- bed to avoid accidental swallowing.
