The New
World Ugliest Dog
The search is over now…after the death
of SAM (the world ugliest dog),
ELWOOD, two-year-old mutt (Chihuahua
and Chinese crested mix) was adjourned as the world’s
ugliest dog last Friday (22-6-07). Elwood was offered with
US$ 1000 for its title of world ugliest
dog.

World Ugliest Dog
This dog was called as ET or Yoda by its
owner Karen Quigley, a resident of Sewell,
New Jersey. ET (Extra Terrestrial) is hairless
and dark colored with a tuft of white fur in its forehead,
which resembles a character in a science fiction. This new
world ugliest dog seems to be perfect replacement
of SAM, the old ugliest dog of this
earth.

Elwood have
participated second time in this contest as it was crowned
second in the last year world’s ugliest dog
contest.
Most of the competitors were from Chinese
crested cross only. (Note that SAM is also a chinese crested
breed). These Chinese crested breeds are characterized with
long wagging tongue and bug eyes. This ugly contest held at
the Marin-Sonoma County Fair.

Actually ET is native of New Jersey. His ugliness
made the judges to recoil, once he was placed before THEM. Hope
he has been neutered, as we don’t need one more progeny from
him.
This dog had a history of escape from Euthanasia.
The present owner saved the dog two years before when the actual
owner tried to euthanise. The dog that escaped from the jaws of
death now not only captured the regal title of the new world’s
ugliest dog but also earned $1000 for its well-being (???).
You know Ugly is a new pretty?
If you have any ugly dog in your home, don’t
abuse him- who knows he/she would be a next year world ugliest
dog. Provide the pet with home, food, water and their friends
to share his sorrow and happiness.
